Joe Pace entered the Picture in 1907 and opened the Pace Mill that focused on pulp production, and in the late 1930s was known as the Florida Pulp and Paper Mill. Switching gears and focusing more on pulp production James Pace reopened the mill as the Florida Pulp and Paper company in the 1930’s Pace is a tight-knit community with a “Friday Night Lights” feel, seems like everyone in town goes to watch the local high school football team the Pace Patriots play.
